Monday Morning Distraction: Kitten Cannon   2 comments

Kitten Cannon is a classic. I remember once playing this game for something like three hours straight while in college.

People need to start sending me stuff to post on Monday mornings.

Monday Morning Distraction: Risk   no comments

Risk is a classic game. This is a free online version. It has some drawbacks, such as the game has to end within ten rounds and you can only play against two computer opponents. It is just about impossible to be wiped out, but sometimes it can be tough to win within ten rounds.

Monday Morning Distraction: Explosm!   no comments

Explosm! is a daily online comic strip that I absolutely love. You can definitely waste a ton of time on the web site because there is a button that will bring up a random strip. Sometimes they are a little inappropriate, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Monday Morning Distraction: Pandemic 2   9 comments

Posted at 8:00 am in Monday Morning Distraction

Monday Morning Distraction is a weekly feature designed to highlight something that will help waste your time and get you through those crappy Mondays. (If anyone in my office is reading this, I post this on Sunday night and set it to update on Monday morning. I would never do anything besides work in the office.)

I will admit, Applegate discovered this and put it on his blog. A week later, even though I beat it, I still can’t stop playing it. Pandemic 2 is an incredibly addicting game. It centers around trying to wipe out the planet with a disease. Unfortunately you don’t necessarily have to win to get the best score. Your score is based on how quickly you kill a large amount of people. I have gotten more points by going for speed instead of numbers.

Post your best scores in the comments.
