Free Short Film: Connected
Connected is a short film set in a desolate future. Unfortunately there isn’t an embedded version. On the official web site they have a very high quality quicktime version. The official description reads:
Set in the distant future, Connected is a story about survival and greed with a post apocalyptic wasteland as its backdrop. Survivors of an unknown disaster shuffle through a desolate landscape, as it quickly becomes clear that not everybody has the strength to survive.
It won’t be available forever, so make sure and watch this while it is still free.
Really intense. I hope I don’t have to make those choices in my life.

Here is my take on what happened. I write this because I watched with a friend who was confuseed, maybe others are confused.
The connected people O and V had two tubes and some tech to make them breathe off of each other and somehow converting the CO2 each one breathed out into oxygen for the other person so they relied on each other. But it looked like the other person wasnt gonna make it any longer.
43 had his own independent system but his system had its flaw in that it was running out.
43 wanted a more reliable system and the other guy wanted independence but both wanting oxygen to breath.
They were so selfish/greedy that they couldnt see the simple solution of teaming up.
