How OK Go’s Amazing Rube Goldberg Machine Was Built
If you haven’t seen OK Go’s new video, it is embedded below. OK Go is the band behind that famous treadmill music video for those of you who have forgotten. Rube Goldberg machines fascinate me. This is probably the most complex one I’ve ever seen.
While the video itself is pretty amazing, it’s even more incredible when you read this article about its making. Here’s the part I was wondering about:
The video was shot by a single Steadicam, but it took more than 60 takes, over the course of two days, to get it right. Many of those takes lasted about 30 seconds, Sadowsky said, getting no further than the spot in the video where the car tire rolls down a ramp.
You can also see a bunch of videos about the making of the video if reading isn’t your thing.

Wow! Now that was cool. Those folks must not have jobs or families and way to much time on their hands – but that was very entertaining.
Watching way to much Mythbusters and their machine I can only imagine how much time it took to get everything right.
60 attempts…wow
