I was very hesitant to make this post. Spymaster is certainly a time sink worthy of being a Monday morning distraction, but promoting it also runs the risk of someone polluting my twitter stream with nonsense. You’ve been warned, if you abuse this game, I’ll stop following you.

That said, you are probably asking, what is Spymaster? The official web site lists it as “An action game for twitter.” It is a game involving the world of espionage which has you joining either the American CIA, the British MI6 or the Russian FSB. If you decide to integrate the game with twitter you will get bonuses, but might annoy your friends.

The game has you complete missions, assassinate other agents and get money to buy more stuff. You can play the game here. They just recently opened it up from the closed beta and are going to be implementing a lot of changes over the next few months, or so I’ve read.
