Monday Morning Distraction: 99 Bricks   6 comments

Posted at 8:00 am in Monday Morning Distraction

This is like Tetris with gravity and physics. My highest score is 479ish. The site is cool in general because it has Xbox Live style achievements for all of the flash games. The very difficult achievement for 99 Bricks is to get a tower over 600. Can anyone do it?

Classic Rock Guitar Solo Quiz   4 comments

This quiz is incredibly difficult. I scored 66/100, which is pretty bad considering this is the only type of music I ever listen to. A couple of hints: first, listen to the clip in its entirety, second don’t look at any of the possible answers until you listen to the clip, third go with your gut.

Monday Morning Distraction: A History of Internet Memes   3 comments

Posted at 8:00 am in Technology

Everyone who has ever used the internet for any extended amount of time has happened across an internet meme. Whether you knew it at the time or not, you saw it and it stayed with you for a long time.

This is a timeline of every single major internet meme ever. Not only does it show the exact date in which the meme in question appeared on the internet, it also shows how big each one became. My only complaint is that I couldn’t find any mention of Henry Earl.

Watch TV for Free   no comments

The other day I was wandering around Best Buy when I noticed they had every single South Park season on sale. I thought about it for a long time, but ultimately decided not to buy them. That got me thinking about finding stuff online for free. It turns out South Park, Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad are all online and viewable for free. Every link has ever episode of every season except the South Park one, it still has the newest episodes though.

The Sarah Palin Porn, “Nailin’ Paylin”   2 comments

Obviously this news is a little old. I didn’t think I would post anything about this until I saw the video below. It is from some British show, where the host gets his two guests to read through part of the script they found on the internet. Here is a news story about the production. This whole thing keeps getting funnier.

Update: For those of you who are even more curious, TMZ has posted video and pictures which you can find here. Obviously NSFW.

It is not secret I am a big fan of documentaries. Check out the full list here. I’ve seen the one about the half-ton man before, or at least I tried to watch it. It was very disturbing.

I love stuff like this. Below are a few of my favorites.

Plato: For the greater good.
Karl Marx: It was a historical inevitability.
Oliver North: National Security was at stake.

The Times They Are A-Changin’   7 comments

A while back ‘Gate asked me to do another one of these posts. It took me a while to compile data because I forgot to turn the tracking back on when I had to reset everything on the server. Without further ado, here are the results from traffic to the server over the past month.

As you can see, things sure have changed. ‘Gate is now in undisputed first place with me falling really far. The Sports Blog is third, followed by Hamby’s Blog and then Richmond’s Blog.

Not terribly surprising if you have been checking all five regularly. I am going to be re-thinking what I am doing with my blog over the next couple of weeks. I really don’t have time to update it regularly, other than just embedding videos people send to me.

Update: I should also mention that the Fantasy Football stat tracker we are running has more traffic than everything else combined.
